We are long-term investors that do not have a set investment time horizon. Rather, we are focused on building a
strong partnership and creating value over the long term.
We provide flexible succession and exit plans for business owners. We’ll craft a tailormade transition plan to ensure
to that our goals are aligned and the business has a seamless transition.
Businesses we look to acquire or partner
with have the following criteria:
Investment Criteria:
- Located in North America
- Companies looking to sell or those in need of Socium (partner) capital to grow
- Core operating team wishes to remain in place, or is open to an agreed upon transition period
- Our preference is to acquire a controlling (>51%) interest in companies, but we will occasionally look to make minority or growth equity investments
Industry Criteria:
- Mature and with fragmented competitors
- Stable and non-cyclical, with a preference towards recession-proof industries
- Low to moderate ongoing capital requirements
- Specialized industry that exhibits barriers to entry
Company Criteria:
- EBITDA/Cash Flow less than $10 million
- Healthy company culture and dedicated employees
- History of consistent profitability and cash flows
- Diverse customer and supplier base
- Significant and identifiable opportunities for organic and inorganic growth
- Differentiator and/or regional leader
